Oh – I so love this time of year! Every time I open the door, I hear the music of our froggy friends in the storm drainage pond a few blocks away. They are so loud, I am wondering how many of the little guys (and gals) are out there. Hundreds? Thousands? I don’t know how many, but it is comforting to know that they are out there and that the environment is doing well enough to support them. I read somewhere that frogs are kind of like a barometer for how the environment is doing. They are sensitive creatures and don’t do well with pollution. I guess that means that our neighborhood is a relatively safe, clean place for our little green friends.
